So, yesterday I was privileged enough to go ON THE AIR with some helpful coaching by Ruth on Rookie Radio on KAOS 89.3fm! After 6 training sessions and multiple trips to the production studio, I was still super anxious on the mic. And, um, um, it showed;) Got some love from the staff at KAOS on the music selections and encouragement that talking on air will eventually get better. This has been a major hurdle for me to get over, in practice sessions and live at a gig. Though I am not sure whether I am more uncomfortable talking to a theoretically large and invisible radio audience or a small group of wedding/event attendees. Have to think on that one for a while...
Anyhow, I am going to work on my proposal for a electronica/d'n'b/grime/dubstep show on KAOS as a permanent spot. Wish me luck, imaginary readers! I am trying to come up with a name for the show, so far I have "Busted Bytes", "Crunchy Bytes" or "Digi-DigginG"...not really getting wowed by these yet. I'll have to think about this some more...and if anyone has a suggestion, I am open to suggestion. At least that's what my hypnotist tells me:O
Sorry, bout the dork out there. Clearly, I need to get to filling out some paperwork.
